Bucyrus Ships Second 30M Continuous Miner to JWR

The Bucyrus room-and-pillar division recently announced the placement of a second 30M continuous miner at Jim Walter Resources (JWR) in January with a third to follow in August. The first 30M was shipped to JWR Blue Creek No. 4 mine in July 2007. In 2008, the Bucyrus 30M was the best performing continuous miner at the operation, setting a new production record for the No. 4 mine, according to Bucyrus. Reportedly, the 30M’s reliability helped to make it the top producing machine of the year. www.bucyrus.com
